With almost 40 years of marketing communications experience, including 18 years as a New York City PR agency owner, the most important thing I’ve learned is the value of seeking help from the right people at the right time.

My mission as a consultant is two-fold:

  • To share my knowledge and expertise with small-to-mid-size (SME) companies by helping them create marketing strategies that fit their needs as well as their budgets.
  • To help smaller marketing and public relations agencies thrive and grow by supplementing their senior-level resources and helping with tough management challenges.

My goal is to help my clients build more effective and cost-efficient organizations.

Another crucial thing I’ve learned is that the time is now. Putting off until tomorrow what you can do today can have a profoundly negative effect on business outcomes.


There’s no GPS system for reaching a marketing destination. There aren’t even pre-drawn maps for getting there. Too frequently when it comes to marketing and communications, corporate executives just get in the car and start driving, without even planning the destination. This wastes both fuel (budget) and time. It makes a lot of sense to hire a guide to draw a map and explain the way.
